Description
The Novo Nordisk Foundation awards this annual teaching prize to recognise and raise the visibility of exceptional science teaching in vocational education across the Danish Realm. It combines a personal honorary award with funding for the recipient’s vocational school to develop its science teaching. The prize covers natural sciences, mathematics, technology and vocational subjects with a scientific or technological foundation.
The program values teaching that builds enthusiasm for science and technology in a vocational context and motivates students to become skilled professionals. Its priorities include developing, using and sharing inspiring teaching methods, collaborating across subjects or educational stages, and contributing to systematic improvements in teaching quality. Recipients are selected by the Foundation’s teaching prizes committee.
