Description
The Novo Nordisk Foundation awards this annual prize to a teacher in an early-childhood educator programme at a professional college in the Danish Realm. It recognizes an exceptional contribution to teaching in the early-childhood pedagogy specialization, particularly science pedagogy, mathematical awareness or sustainability. The prize aims to make this work more visible and strengthen future educators’ ability to create learning environments and activities grounded in the natural sciences.
The award also supports the development of science teaching at the recipient’s college. The Foundation values approaches that teachers develop, use and share, as well as collaboration across focus areas or on the transition from early-childhood settings to primary school.
