    Description

The Novo Nordisk Foundation supports this call through Nexa Lighthouse, a climate and health innovation programme co-led by AVPN and Grand Challenges Canada. The Foundation’s focus is on locally led innovations that protect people living with cardiometabolic diseases from the impacts of extreme heat in South Asia.

Nexa Lighthouse helps communities anticipate, adapt to, and respond to climate-related health threats. Informed by a large survey of health and humanitarian workers in low- and middle-income countries, the broader programme addresses extreme heat, mosquito-borne infections, and poor air quality. Other funding partners support other focus areas within the shared call.
