Description
The NRAO Doctoral Dissertation Award is given annually to a recent doctoral graduate from any recognized U.S. degree-granting institution. The award honors the importance, originality, and independence of dissertation research that relies on new radio astronomy data obtained at facilities operated or jointly operated by a U.S.-based institution. The recipient receives a monetary award, a framed certificate, a dinner with NRAO scientific staff, and an invitation to present a colloquium at the NRAO offices in Charlottesville, VA. The award is open to recipients of any nationality.
