Description
The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) runs this program in partnership with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). It funds local partners to provide technical assistance to producers implementing Farm Bill conservation programs in Oregon. The program responds to demand for assistance beyond what NRCS staff can provide.
Proposed work should address a technical assistance workload identified with the local NRCS District Conservationist, such as conservation planning or designing and certifying practices. This offering funds technical assistance, not administrative assistance. OWEB and NRCS assess whether the work fills a gap in NRCS capacity and whether the applicant can carry it out in coordination with NRCS staff.
