Description
The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB), in partnership with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), funds technical assistance to implement local Farm Bill conservation programs. The program addresses demand for assistance among producers that exceeds NRCS staff capacity. It supports Oregon-based conservation partners delivering technical support for local conservation efforts, rather than administrative assistance.
Proposals should identify a clear need that current NRCS staffing cannot meet and demonstrate coordination with NRCS staff. Proposed staff must have the qualifications to perform the work or a reasonable training plan. Supported work includes NRCS planning and practice certification, with applications evaluated through OWEB’s technical assistance criteria and program-specific expectations.
