    Description

The NSCA Foundation and USA Weightlifting established this grant to advance coaches’ education in strength and conditioning and weightlifting. It supports one NSCA certification alongside a USA Weightlifting Level 2 Course, bringing together educational opportunities in both fields. The program is part of the Foundation’s broader support for inclusivity in the strength and conditioning community.

The grant honors Dr. Richard Borden, a long-serving NSCA Board member who held USA Weightlifting’s highest recognized coaching designation, International Coach, and the International Weightlifting Federation’s highest referee designation, Category 1 International Referee. It is intended for individuals who are not yet NSCA-certified or were previously NSCA-certified and are seeking to advance their education.
