    Description

    This fellowship program provides recent doctoral scientists in astronomy and astrophysics the opportunity to carry out an integrated program of independent research and education. Fellows may propose observational, instrumental, theoretical, laboratory, or archival data research in any area of astronomy or astrophysics, combined with a coherent educational component. The fellowship is intended to recognize and advance early-career investigators of significant potential, helping establish them as future leaders in the scientific community. Fellows may select eligible U.S. or certain international host institutions and are expected to be fully integrated into the host's research and educational activities.
