Description
This program funds State and Regional Artificial Intelligence (AI) Infrastructure Hubs to accelerate AI-enabled discovery and workforce development across the U.S. Each Hub operates as a state or territory-wide consortium—comprising higher education institutions, government, industry, and community partners—responsible for enhancing access to advanced AI computing, data, and training resources. NSF funding supports coordination, strategic planning, workforce training, and faculty development, while the consortium mobilizes additional resources for infrastructure and deployment. The initiative aims to bridge gaps in AI readiness, foster partnerships, and ensure that all Americans can participate in and benefit from the AI economy.
