Description
The NSTP Research Grant (Year 2), administered by the Neurosurgery Research & Education Foundation (NREF) in partnership with the Society of Neurological Surgeons, provides research funding and structured mentorship for neurosurgery residents who have completed a protected research year. This grant is designed to help residents build on their prior research, transition toward independent investigator status, and prepare for competitive NIH K award applications. Awardees benefit from a national network of neurosurgeon-scientist mentors and participation in professional development events, including the Annual NINDS R25 workshop.
