Description
The New Technology Implementation Grant Program (NTIG) is administered by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) through the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan (TERP). It provides financial incentives to offset the incremental cost of reducing pollution from facilities and other stationary sources in Texas. Supported pollutants include criteria pollutants, hazardous air pollutants, and other pollutants regulated under the federal Clean Air Act or TCEQ requirements.
The program also supports emissions reductions across upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas activities, plus electricity storage tied to renewable energy. Its focus is deploying existing technologies in Texas as soon as practicable, rather than developing technologies. Proposals must demonstrate technical capability, a feasible implementation plan, and the applicant’s ability to operate and maintain the equipment throughout the contract.
