Description
The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) Nursing Research & Practice Grant supports clinicians committed to the bleeding disorders community. Its objectives are to develop outcome-related data, improve care delivery, and expand nursing science surrounding bleeding disorders. Topics of interest include clinical pathways, measurable care outcomes, service utilization, epidemiology, and patient and community education tools.
Other supported topics include rehabilitation, therapeutic modalities, psychosocial issues, women’s health in bleeding disorders, liver disease in people with bleeding disorders, and HIV/AIDS. NBDF encourages multidisciplinary collaboration and cooperative research across hemophilia centers, including nursing, social work, physical therapy, and genetics. Projects aligned with NBDF’s community-defined research priorities are considered highly competitive.
