The Climate Resilient Farming Program supports implementation of Best Management Practice (BMP) systems on New York farms to mitigate agriculture’s contribution to climate change and improve adaptation to changing conditions. Administered by the New York State Soil and Water Conservation Committee within the Department of Agriculture and Markets, Round 10 draws funding from the State Fiscal Year 2026–2027 Environmental Protection Fund.
Projects originate through the Agricultural Environmental Management (AEM) framework and address livestock management, adaptation and resiliency, soil health and agroforestry, or agricultural forest management. The program prioritizes work with strong potential for both mitigation and adaptation, including reducing methane emissions, storing carbon, and preparing farms for heavier storms, flooding, drought, and extreme temperatures.
