Description
The NYS HOME Program, administered by New York State Homes and Community Renewal's Housing Trust Fund Corporation, leverages federal HOME Investment Partnership Program funds to expand access to safe, decent, and affordable housing throughout New York State. The program funds a range of activities including the acquisition, rehabilitation, and construction of affordable housing, as well as direct assistance to low-income homebuyers and renters. Funding is available through competitive rounds for both local housing programs and homebuyer development projects, with a strong emphasis on serving households at or below 80% of area median income (AMI) and ensuring long-term affordability.
