Description
The Arts and Humanities Exploration Research Grants, administered by NYU's Center for the Humanities in partnership with the Office of the Vice Provost for Research, are internal awards designed to foster innovative, impactful scholarship and creative practice across the arts and humanities. This program supports faculty at any project stage, including developing new ideas, launching interdisciplinary collaborations, advancing public-facing or creative initiatives, and strengthening proposals for external funding. Funding is flexible, supporting activities such as project planning, archival or field research, literature review, materials, travel, convenings, and digital or creative production. The goal is to deepen understanding of societal challenges, support significant publications, exhibitions, or performances, and enhance the intellectual and artistic vitality of the NYU community.
