The Ocean Futures Fellowship is a six-month, full-time, remote program designed to empower and develop the next generation of ocean professionals worldwide. Fellows receive advanced training, participate in educational projects, engage in professional development and mentorship, and complete a capstone project tailored to their chosen focus area. The fellowship aims to foster ocean literacy, leadership, and innovation, supporting the goals of the UN Ocean Decade and SDG 14. Participants collaborate with OceanX’s global network, drive impactful ocean science and conservation initiatives, and gain practical experience in areas including AI, digital media, asset archiving, immersive technologies, marketing, communications, and partnerships. The program emphasizes responsible use of emerging technologies, cross-functional teamwork, and global engagement.
