Description
The Ocean Reporting Network, an initiative of the Pulitzer Center, offers a unique year-long fellowship for experienced journalists—either freelance or staff—dedicated to in-depth or investigative reporting on critical ocean issues. Fellows receive comprehensive support, including salary, reporting expenses, training, mentorship, and editorial guidance, to enable ambitious, impactful journalism on topics such as climate change, illegal and overfishing, biodiversity loss, pollution, and underreported areas like deep-sea mining, blue finance, and marine governance. The program aims to foster a collaborative, global community of journalists who can drive real change by systematically investigating the drivers of marine degradation and amplifying these stories to diverse audiences.
