Description
The Save Our Seas Foundation’s Ocean Storytelling Film Grant supports emerging filmmakers in creating visually stunning, engaging stories about the ocean. The programme builds on the foundation’s marine conservation work and its belief that compelling storytelling helps translate knowledge into meaningful change. Films may explore marine animals, scientific discoveries, fisheries, or communities whose lives are intertwined with marine life.
The grant seeks new voices, perspectives and filmmaking approaches, with particular encouragement for women and applicants from underrepresented communities. Proposed films must include conservation and/or science and be cinematic rather than blue-chip documentaries. The programme supports short films of up to 20 minutes, with the marine conservation story mutually agreed upon by the grantee and the foundation.
