Description
The OCIO Machine Learning Postdoctoral Fellowship offers early-career researchers the opportunity to conduct data-intensive research at the Smithsonian Institution’s Data Science Lab. Fellows may propose their own projects or contribute to ongoing collaborations in areas such as biodiversity genomics, the application of machine learning to digitized museum collections, and historical data analysis. The fellowship emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and the advancement of digital research methods across the Smithsonian. Fellows may also participate in data science training initiatives, including the option to become certified Carpentries instructors and teach data science skills within the Smithsonian community.
