Off-Highway Motorcycle (OHM) Trail Grants support Wisconsin public agencies and tribes in maintaining, rehabilitating and developing trails and riding facilities for off-highway motorcycle use.

Funding Amounts: $53/mile for OHM-only trail maintenance; up to $50/mile for shared-use trail maintenance; up to 100% of eligible project costs

Description
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) uses revenue from off-highway motorcycle (OHM) registrations to support trails and riding facilities across Wisconsin. Grants cover maintenance of OHM-only and shared-use trails, major rehabilitation of trails and bridges, and development of new trails and facilities. Other ranked purposes include land acquisition and signs for routes that provide access to OHM trails.
The program places maintenance of existing trails and facilities ahead of rehabilitation and new development. Eligible projects where OHMs are the only designated motorized equipment are funded before projects shared with other motorized users.
