The Office of Grants and Research (OGR) funds the Shannon Community Safety Initiative Statewide Research Partner to provide strategic, analytic, and research support across funded Shannon CSI sites. The statewide partner assists OGR and Local Action Research Partners, complementing the research support each Shannon site receives locally. Its work includes annual site briefs and comprehensive reports.
The broader Shannon CSI incorporates key elements of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention’s Comprehensive Gang Model. It supports regional, multidisciplinary approaches to combating gang violence through coordinated prevention and intervention, law enforcement, prosecution, and reintegration programs. The statewide research partnership supports this coordinated community safety effort through research and analysis.
