    Description

Through Oklahoma’s Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) provides assistance to eligible rural healthcare providers seeking to participate in the statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE) and/or implement, replace, optimize, or expand certified Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Organizations may request HIE assistance, EHR assistance, or both. The Year 1 application notifies the Office of the State Coordinator for Health Information Exchange (OSC) of an organization’s interest.

The assistance supports Oklahoma’s broader effort to transform rural healthcare delivery through modern technology that helps providers connect and coordinate care. The Oklahoma State Department of Health leads RHTP, with support from CMS/HHS. Requests are reviewed for eligibility, funding availability, provider need, implementation readiness, and program priorities.
