Description
Ohio Artists on Tour is an Ohio Arts Council fee-support program for organizations presenting Ohio-based performing artists and ensembles. It helps presenters bring the state’s creative talent into local programming through performances marketed to the public. Presenters may choose artists from the Ohio Artist Registry or work with other Ohio-based performers.
Each engagement must also include at least one community outreach activity, such as a masterclass, lecture-demonstration, school performance, or workshop. Funding supports artist fees, which may include travel, lodging, and outreach expenses. The program presents artists’ existing work rather than commissioning new work.
