This fellowship, jointly offered by the Omohundro Institute and the Folger Institute at the Folger Shakespeare Library, supports short-term research projects focused on early America in its broadest sense. It is open to scholars with interests in Atlantic and colonial history, literary studies, performance history, and material culture. Fellows gain access to the Folger Library’s extensive collections, which include manuscripts, rare books, art, maps, and other materials documenting the social, cultural, and political dynamics of early America and its interactions with the Atlantic and European worlds.
