Description
The Washington State Department of Commerce is seeking proposals for a soil remediation pilot project in Okanogan County. The project addresses agricultural soil in an area currently used by cannabis producers that is contaminated with chemicals such as DDT and its remnants, including DDE.
The pilot is intended to put a remediation approach into practice across farmland managed by multiple producers, rather than on a single farm. The site may cover up to 50 acres. Proposed strategies must use one of the alternatives identified in the feasibility study included with the request for proposals (RFP).
