Description
The Oklahoma Arts Council’s Arts and the Military Grants support new and ongoing arts programs for military-connected people across Oklahoma. Part of an initiative launched in 2015, the program funds learning-based activities such as classes and workshops, audience-based experiences such as performances and exhibitions, and online or virtual programs. Funding is made possible in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Mid-America Arts Alliance.
Grants can also build an organization’s capacity to serve military-connected audiences through professional development, consulting, research, development, or program evaluation. Projects must pursue at least one outcome: create opportunities for military-connected artists, offer participants identifiable benefits, build organizational capacity, or reach diverse groups within the military community.
