Description
NYSERDA’s On-site Energy Manager (OsEM) Program shares the cost of dedicated energy management at commercial, industrial, and multifamily facilities, campuses, and portfolios in New York State. It aims to demonstrate that the role can become a standard, self-sustaining business function through energy savings, productivity gains, and operational improvements. Support can cover a new permanent hire, contracted services, or permanent staff supplemented by a consultant.
The energy manager’s work may address operations and maintenance, behavioral changes, energy efficiency, process improvements, throughput and scrap reduction, cost management, and water savings. Participants must intend to continue the role beyond the engagement and share results, success stories, and best practices to encourage broader adoption.
