The General Community Grants Program from the Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County provides funding to local nonprofits working in four priority areas: Arts & Culture, Environment, Health & Human Services, and Seniors & People with Disabilities. Grants support general operating expenses and/or projects that address community needs and donor priorities, including cultural expression, environmental preservation, health disparities, housing and food insecurity, and support for seniors and people with disabilities. Applications are evaluated by a committee of community experts, volunteers, and staff, with funding decisions based on alignment with priorities, community impact, use of data, collaboration, and organizational adaptability.
