Description
The One-Month Research Awards at Dumbarton Oaks are designed to provide scholars and predoctoral candidates with the opportunity to conduct short-term research in Byzantine, Pre-Columbian, and Garden and Landscape studies. These awards grant access to Dumbarton Oaks’ extensive library, rare book collection, gardens, and museum resources, fostering scholarly advancement and collaboration. The awards are intended for those unable to participate in longer-term fellowships or seeking focused engagement with the institution’s unique collections. Recipients are expected to make significant progress on a research project leading to publication or professional enhancement and must submit a report at the end of their term.
