Description
The Oncology Nursing Foundation’s pilot implementation grant supports teams bringing nurse-scientist-generated knowledge into oncology nursing practice to improve outcomes for people with cancer. It funds work on adopting, implementing, and sustaining existing evidence-based interventions that are not consistently used in clinical settings.
Projects should study implementation strategies, barriers, facilitators, and sustainability—not simply improve a local process. Potential topics include symptom management, patient-reported symptom monitoring, survivorship care planning, palliative care referral, navigation, and health equity screening. The goal is to develop strategies that other healthcare settings can use, while examining fidelity, feasibility, and acceptability.
