This opportunity provides entry-level funding for individuals and groups to create and share arts, heritage, or historic preservation projects that benefit King County, Washington residents and visitors. The program is designed to be accessible to newcomers to grant funding and emphasizes projects that offer public benefit, are feasible within one year, and reflect diverse communities. Special consideration is given to projects that advance equity or are based outside Seattle or in designated Communities of Opportunity. All projects are reviewed by a peer panel, and selected projects may receive additional funding through the Equity Investment system if they meet certain criteria.
