Description
The Open-Access Publication program, administered by the Office for Advancement of Research (OAR) at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, helps faculty publish scholarly articles in open-access format. It supports publication fees for manuscripts accepted by major, peer-reviewed scholarly journals, rather than the costs of conducting a research project.
This internal funding program focuses on the publication stage of faculty scholarship. Requests must identify the journal and describe its quality and reach, alongside evidence that the manuscript has been accepted. Support is offered through OAR’s monthly, rolling review process, with required contributions from named authors other than student contributors.
