Description
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) supports projects that move selected, published, peer-reviewed findings from its patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research and systematic reviews into practical use. This open competition invites principal investigators to propose implementation projects addressing pediatric obsessive-compulsive disorder, direct hospital admission programs for children, early palliative care for advanced cancer, or childhood tooth decay arrest and prevention.
Projects should use active, multicomponent strategies to integrate evidence into practice, considering the body of related evidence. They should target end users with a clear interest in and ability to benefit from the findings, adapt implementation to local settings, and expand reach to larger numbers or broader populations and settings. PCORI emphasizes supportive implementation-site infrastructure, stakeholder involvement, established implementation frameworks, and rigorous evaluation.
