Description
OpenAI’s Researcher Access Program provides API credits for projects using its publicly available models to study responsible AI deployment, risk mitigation, and societal impacts. The support is access to OpenAI products, not a cash grant.
Areas of interest include alignment, fairness and representation, misuse and red teaming, human-AI interaction, economic impacts, generalization and transfer learning, and multimodal research. OpenAI also welcomes work on interpretability, model capabilities and limitations, and robustness. Researchers may propose their own direction within the program’s goals.
