Description
The Daniel Foundation of Alabama’s Operating Grants support organizations based in Alabama and serving Alabama residents. The opportunity is designed to provide unrestricted support across education, arts and community, and health and human services. Education priorities include school readiness for children from birth through age five, improved K–12 academic outcomes, and adult life skills that foster independence. Arts and community priorities include arts organizations offering year-round programming and groups directly mentoring young people or teaching skills for school and life.
Health and human services priorities include short-term basic needs, health screenings and medical care for low-income or uninsured people, mental wellness through counseling and therapeutic services or activities, and programs specifically serving veterans. Both operating cycles accept letters of intent across all eligible priority areas rather than dividing cycles by issue.
