The Opportunity Endowment Fund, administered by the East Tennessee Foundation, is designed to strengthen the effectiveness and long-term sustainability of the region’s nonprofit sector. Priority is given to projects that foster collaboration, improve operational and programmatic systems, and address environmental, natural resource, and conservation needs. The fund encourages proposals that leverage matching funds, demonstrate collective community impact, and offer solutions or outcomes that can be shared or replicated among similar organizations.
Eligible projects may include improving organizational efficiency, developing evaluation systems, building leadership capacity, increasing access to technology, diversifying revenue streams, and more. The fund’s overarching goal is to enable nonprofits to work together more effectively and sustainably to meet community needs.
