Description
The Oral Medicine & Pathology Research Award is part of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Distinguished Scientist Awards. Established by the IADR Experimental Pathology Group, it honors outstanding and sustained peer-reviewed research that advances understanding of the mechanisms governing health and disease of the oral cavity and associated structures. Its scope principally encompasses skin, bone, and oral soft tissue.
This is recognition of a scientist’s research contributions, rather than funding for a new research project. The award emphasizes both research quality and sustained contribution to the field. Recipients are selected by the IADR Science Awards Committee and announced at the Opening Ceremonies of the IADR General Session & Exhibition.
