Description
The OREF/Georgetown Medical Student Research Grant provides funding for medical students enrolled at Georgetown University who are interested in orthopaedic or musculoskeletal research. Administered by the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF), the program combines support for a research project with experience writing a competitive research proposal and developing a relationship with a mentor who has research experience. The mentor may be an orthopaedic resident.
OREF encourages well-crafted basic, translational, and clinical orthopaedic studies. Its research priorities emphasize clinical relevance and results with practical application. This grant brings those priorities together with a student research experience supported by an experienced mentor.
