Description
The Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) runs this one-year fellowship to develop leadership skills within an orthopaedic research career path. The program focuses on leadership development rather than a specific scientific topic, helping participants cultivate the personal attributes and capabilities associated with leadership in the orthopaedic community.
The curriculum emphasizes integrity, selflessness, decisiveness, organization, benevolence, vision, communication, and innovation. Eligible participants include orthopaedic residents in PGY3–PGY5, orthopaedic fellows, and orthopaedic surgeons less than two years in practice. The participant selection process prioritizes women and underrepresented minorities.
