Description
The Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) offers this OREF/OTA research grant with funding support from Arthrex. It supports investigator-initiated orthopaedic trauma research focused on innovative strategies for operatively managing ankle fractures when compromised bone, compromised soft tissue, or metabolic challenges are likely to increase the risk of complications.
The program’s focus is surgical management in these challenging circumstances. Within its broader research guidance, OREF encourages well-crafted basic, translational, and clinical studies with clear clinical relevance and results that have practical application. Clinical relevance should be evident throughout the proposal, including its title, study design, abstract, and specific aims.
