Description
The Oregon Heritage Grant is offered by Oregon Heritage within the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, with awards made by the Oregon Heritage Commission. It supports projects that preserve, develop, or interpret Oregon’s cultural heritage, including collections care and access, oral histories, exhibits, public education, films, traditional practices, and organizational planning tied to heritage resources.
Projects involving threatened resources or resources of statewide significance receive priority. The program also considers work documenting, preserving, or interpreting histories of people previously marginalized or excluded. Historic-structure preservation receives lower priority because other state funding is available for that work.
