Description
Oregon National Guard State Tuition Assistance (ONGSTA) helps current Oregon National Guard members cover undergraduate education costs at eligible Oregon postsecondary institutions. Administered by the Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC), the program supports associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and undergraduate certificates at community colleges, public universities, Oregon Health and Science University, and participating private institutions.
OSAC works with the Oregon National Guard and participating schools to verify military and academic eligibility and calculate assistance. Awards are based on in-state tuition rates, with federal or military tuition assistance applied first. For the 2026–27 academic year, ONGSTA also provides a book allowance for fall, winter, and spring terms, but does not cover fees or summer book costs.
