Description
Oregon National Guard State Tuition Assistance (ONGSTA) is administered by the Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC). It helps current Oregon National Guard members pursue associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, or undergraduate certificates at participating Oregon community colleges, public universities, Oregon Health and Science University, and eligible private postsecondary institutions.
The program applies eligible federal or military tuition assistance to tuition first, then calculates the state award against the remaining eligible tuition. It generally covers certain fees and a book allowance as well, but awards for the 2025–26 academic year cover tuition costs only. Students must apply each year to continue receiving assistance.
