Description
The Oregon Opportunity Grant is Oregon’s largest state-funded, need-based grant program for college students. Administered by the Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC), it supports more than 30,000 Oregon resident students each year. The program serves students of all ages pursuing their first associate or bachelor’s degree at participating public and private institutions, including community college Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) programs.
Awards prioritize students with the greatest financial need, using their Student Aid Index (SAI) and FAFSA or ORSAA filing date. Funding is first-come, first-served until funds are depleted. OSAC coordinates with college financial aid offices, which receive the grant and credit eligible students’ campus accounts each academic term.
