Description
The Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC), part of Oregon’s Higher Education Coordinating Commission, administers Oregon Promise. The state grant helps recent high school and GED® test graduates cover tuition at any Oregon community college. It supports students beginning college soon after completing their credential rather than funding a particular field of study or project.
Eligible recipients can continue receiving the grant while pursuing community college courses until they reach its 90-credit limit. Credits attempted or completed before receiving Oregon Promise—including college credits earned in high school—count toward that limit. The grant does not pay for summer courses.
