Description
The Oregon Student Child Care Grant, administered by the Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC), helps parents enrolled in postsecondary education obtain safe, dependable child care. The program connects support for children’s development with parents’ ability to continue and complete their academic programs. It supports eligible Oregon residents pursuing a certificate, associate degree, or first bachelor’s degree at an eligible Oregon institution.
Funding is limited, making the grant competitive. Eligible previous recipients receive priority, followed by new applicants considered on financial need, credits earned toward their credential, use of eligible child care providers, and enrollment intensity. Awards help cover eligible children’s care costs, subject to local average rates and an annual cap.
