Description
The Oregon Teacher Scholars Program Grant supports students preparing for preliminary licensure in teaching, school counseling, school social work, or school psychology. It is administered by the Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC) in partnership with the Educator Advancement Council and the Oregon Department of Education. The program focuses on candidates with meaningful experience working with diverse populations, a baseline understanding of cultural competency, and a willingness to develop that competency further.
The grant helps scholars progress through approved preparation programs. Because funding is limited, OSAC prioritizes students who previously received the grant, helping them complete their programs. New applicants are considered if funds remain after renewal awards.
