Description
The Maine Arts Commission’s Organization Operations Grant supports the everyday costs of delivering arts programming and services in Maine. It helps sustain arts organizations, arts infrastructure, and the state’s creative workforce through support for facilities, staffing, artist fees, administration, marketing, equipment, and accessibility.
The program emphasizes arts programming aligned with an organization’s mission, public access and engagement, organizational health, and artistic excellence and merit. Review considers meaningful community involvement in planning, participation, and evaluation, alongside inclusion of traditionally underserved communities. Organizations are also assessed on planning, program evaluation, management, staffing, financial health, and their commitment to quality arts and educational experiences relative to their size.
