    Description

The Organizational Capacity Building (OCB) Grants program, offered by the RRF Foundation for Aging, provides targeted funding to Illinois nonprofit organizations serving adults aged 60 and older. The program aims to help these organizations improve their management systems, governance, and overall organizational effectiveness. Funding is available for a wide range of capacity-building activities—including board development, strategic planning, evaluation, IT improvements, fundraising, communications, and more. There are two grant pathways:

    • Standard OCB Grants: For long-term improvements in management, governance, or organizational capacity, supporting consulting, training, technology, and related costs.
    • OCB Flexible Fund Grants: For immediate, short-term capacity-building needs, such as readiness assessments or targeted technical consultations.

Both grant types are designed to help nonprofits better serve older populations through increased organizational effectiveness and sustainability.
