Description
RRF Foundation for Aging’s Organizational Capacity Building (OCB) grants support specific improvements that help Illinois nonprofits better serve older people. The program funds organizational development rather than general operating support or ongoing programs without significant changes in strategy or focus. Applicants must explain the direct connection between the proposed capacity-building work and improved service to adults age 60 and older.
Supported activities include board development, communications and marketing, evaluation, fundraising, human resources, information technology improvements, and internal operations and financial management. Organizational strategy planning, strategic program planning, and staff training focused on older people are also eligible. Projects may use consultants or technical assistance providers. Examples include strengthening governance, developing strategic plans, improving financial management, updating IT capacity, and evaluating programs.
