Description
The Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) presents this annual award to a mid-career member with an outstanding and sustained commitment to mentorship and an impactful research program on an upward trajectory. It recognizes contributions to mentoring rising scientists, engineers, and clinician-scientists in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal science and engineering. Particular emphasis is placed on mentorship and activities that advance diversity and inclusive excellence, alongside significant research contributions and demonstrated leadership or capacity for leadership.
The award honors Adele L. Boskey, PhD, a pioneer in biomineralization who advanced fundamental musculoskeletal biology and its clinical translation. It carries forward her legacy of scholarship, mentorship, and leadership, including her commitment to equitable opportunity, ethical behavior, and high-quality musculoskeletal research.
