Description
The ORS Early Career Outreach Travel Award is designed to support enthusiastic early career members of the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) who are passionate about STEM outreach. Recipients will help develop and lead programming, moderate discussions, support workshops, and mentor small groups during the ORS Open Door 2027 event, taking place at the ORS Annual Meeting in San Francisco, California. The initiative specifically focuses on engaging the public—especially BIPOC and underrepresented minority middle school students—to foster interest in musculoskeletal sciences and introduce diverse career pathways. Awardees will gain valuable outreach training from experienced ORS members and play a key role in inspiring the next generation of scientists through interactive presentations, panel discussions, and hands-on activities.
