The Orthopaedic Research Society’s Meniscus Section presents this inaugural travel award to recognize trainee researchers who have made high-quality contributions to meniscus research. It supports travel to the ORS Annual Meeting, connecting recognition of scientific excellence with opportunities for scientific exchange, feedback, networking, collaboration, skill development, and engagement with the Meniscus Section.
The award prioritizes research with direct and substantial relevance to meniscus biology, biomechanics, injury, repair and regeneration, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, or clinical outcomes. Reviewers consider the importance and clarity of the research question, rigor of study design and methods, support for conclusions, and originality or innovation with potential to advance the field. Applicants must also explain how meeting attendance and the travel award would advance their scientific and professional development.
